Summer Days Linky ~ Growing Strong

Welcome back to the Summer Days Linky with myself and Karen from Stopping at Two. You can read more about it HERE. You can link your summery posts at the bottom of this post.

Do you remember the Sunflower and Bean seeds O planted back at the beginning of June? The are now safely planted in Taid’s garden (Taid-Welsh for grandad-is my dad) and are growing strong.

The sunflowers are getting really tall now.

The Summer Days Linky – Shakespeare and Sports Day

Welcome back to the Summer Days Linky with myself and Karen from Stopping at Two. You can read more about it HERE.

At the beginning of the week we had a beautiful couple of days. By Wednesday, while the rest of the country seemed to be enjoying a heatwave we had cool breezes, cloud cover and even a fair amount of rain! Luckily O and I had taken advantage of the sun in my parents garden while waiting for the nappies to finish rinsing in the machine (ours is still broken)

Summer Days Linky ~ Green Thumbed Toddler

Welcome back to the third week of the Summer Days Linky with myself and Karen from Stopping at Two. You can read more about it HERE.

This week couldn’t have been any more different from last week could it!? We have had some stunning weather, I heard today that there are storms on the way again so I’m glad we took advantage of the sun while it lasted.

Last week I mentioned that O planted some sunflowers and beans in playgroup. They have really taken off the last day or so and he just loves standing in the window to look at, and poke, them. He and LM have been watering them a tiny bit every day and he just seems so proud of them, although we may need to do a bit of thinning out soon!

We had a lovely stroll down to playgroup this week, O’s speech is really starting to come on and he loves pointing out all the trees, water and ducks (with his own special way of saying them of course). The craft this week was making Father’s Day cards, when he was done printing with the apple he had a great time with the paints, getting most of it over himself!

So now on to the Summer Days linky, please feel free to link up any type of post. It could be a round up of your week, a picture you want to share, a yummy recipe, fun craft or an activity you’ve tried. Maybe you simply went out for a lovely walk in the sun or spent a bit of time in the garden like we did. Anything you like that makes you think of summer including fashion, beauty, interiors and travel posts.

Of course there are a few simple rules:

  1. Link up one of your summer related posts from this year.
  2. Please comment on at least the two posts before yours ~ Remember these linkys only work if we all share the love, the more you give the more you get back!
  3. You can use the hashtag #SummerDays when you comment to let people know where you came from.
  4. Please add the badge to the bottom of your post to help spread the word of the linky.
  5. Have fun! It is summer after all 😀

The Summer Days Linky ~ What happened to summer?

Welcome back to the second week of the Summer Days Linky with myself and Karen from Stopping at Two. You can read more about it HERE.

So I think we can all agree that the weather has been pretty pants this week, it has been cold wet and windy and more like a winters day rather than June! so I have to admit that we have spent pretty much the entire week indoors, so this is just a short post from me this week.

Luckily, Thursday turned out as a beautifully sunny day so we did manage to get out to playgroup where O tried his hand at planting some seeds. Hopefully it won’t be long and I’ll be able to share with you some photos of his beans and sunflowers, although they may be very a little overcrowded as he got slightly over enthusiastic with the seeds!

Twice a week the teens attend Army Cadets so I spend at least 10-20 minutes sat waiting for them to come out (I have to get there early or I can’t park!) Luckily I get to spend that time alone, with a cuppa and a reading book or a notepad so I’m perfectly content. Monday, the rain was so bad I could barely see two cars in front of me, but I was treated to this beautiful sunset on Thursday which completely made up for the rest of the week 🙂
